Fault service for your electrical system
If lights, sockets or the distribution board fail, we first clarify the situation by phone. Call-outs are arranged by phone – we do not commit to fixed response times.
Call-out only by phone arrangement
Every fault report with us starts with a phone call: we ask what has failed and decide together with you whether an on-site visit is necessary.
Process
From call to clearance
On the phone, we clarify what has failed, whether there is a hazard, and whether the cause can already be narrowed down. We'll then let you know when a technician is available. We don't promise fixed response times – but we'll tell you openly what you can expect.

We ask what's no longer working: a single circuit, an entire flat, or the whole building. We also note the address, floor, meter number, and a phone number where you can be reached. If there's a smell of burning, visible arcing, or water near electrical systems, we ask you to leave the area and call the fire department on 112 first – we treat such reports as priority.

We check whether the fault can be narrowed down remotely or whether a callout is needed. Often it becomes clear on the phone that only a residual current circuit breaker has tripped. If a callout is necessary, we give you a time window and let you know which technician is coming. If no short-term appointment can be found, we say so clearly rather than leaving you waiting.

On site, we first inspect the distribution board: which protective devices have tripped, how the circuits are labelled, and where the residual current circuit breaker is located. Using a voltage tester, clamp meter, and insulation tester, we isolate the circuits one by one and measure the insulation resistance. This reveals whether a device, a cable, or a terminal point is the cause.

We fix minor causes – loose terminals, faulty switches, chafed connecting cables – on the spot. We then re-check the affected circuits, deliberately trip the residual current circuit breaker, and switch power back on. You'll be told verbally and on the work report what was found and whether any follow-up action is advisable.
Fault patterns
Common fault patterns and their causes
A large share of the reports we receive in Rendsburg and the surrounding area can be traced back to a few patterns. We have compiled the most common ones – along with the cause usually behind them and the way we narrow it down.
