We inspect fixed installations and portable appliances in accordance with current VDE regulations, measuring rather than guessing, and hand over a report you can present to insurers, authorities and property owners.
What actually happens during an inspection
An inspection is not a walkthrough with a clipboard: we examine the installation, measure every circuit, and record every finding in writing.
First, we visually inspect the installation: distribution boards, cable routes, switches, outlets, light fixtures. We look for damaged insulation, bypassed fuses, loose terminal points, and unauthorized modifications made without proper expertise.
Then follow the measurements with a calibrated test device. Every value is recorded, even the unremarkable ones. This makes it possible to detect changes at the next inspection.

Process
From Visual Inspection to Report
An inspection is not a quick glance into the meter cabinet, but a fixed sequence of visual inspection, functional testing, and measurement. We work through it in this order because each step builds on the previous one: anything visibly damaged is never energized in the first place. At the end, you receive a report that assigns every measured value to the inspected circuit or device.
1. Assessment and Appointment Scheduling
We clarify in advance what needs to be inspected: apartment, multi-family building, office, or workshop, number of circuits, number of portable devices. This determines the time required and scope of inspection. For commercial clients and property managers, we also agree on which rooms are accessible when and where power can be switched off.

We open distribution boards and junction boxes and examine cables, terminal points, switches, and outlets. Typical findings include loose terminals, contacts discolored by heat, missing touch-protection covers, damaged device cables, and fuses that don't match the cable cross-section. Circuit labeling is also checked.
The RCD (residual current device, commonly known as an earth-leakage circuit breaker) is triggered both via the test button and by measurement. We record trip current and trip time. An RCD that only responds to the button but exceeds the required trip time would otherwise go unnoticed. We also test emergency stop devices and the function of indicator lights.
We measure protective conductor resistance, insulation resistance between conductors and to earth, loop impedance as a measure of the disconnection condition in case of a fault, and earth resistance. For devices, leakage current measurements are added. Our test devices are calibrated regularly, and the calibration date is noted in the report.
Every finding is classified: immediately hazardous, to be remedied in the medium term, or purely for documentation. We secure hazardous points on the same visit; smaller issues can be fixed on the spot upon request. For larger work, such as a new sub-distribution board, you'll receive a separate quote with no pressure for immediate commissioning.
You receive the inspection report with all measured values, device list, and defect overview digitally as a PDF and, on request, in paper form. Inspected devices receive an inspection label with the date. On request, we note the next appointment and contact you in good time.
Costs
What Determines the Price
An inspection is billed based on effort, and effort depends almost entirely on quantity: the number of circuits, devices, and distribution boards to be opened. That's why we don't quote a flat price out of thin air—instead, we ask a few key questions in advance and then give you a binding fixed price or a clearly limited cost range.
- Number of circuits and distribution boards. Every fuse is measured individually. An apartment with eight circuits can be inspected in a fraction of the time a business with three sub-distribution boards requires.
- Number of portable devices. This includes all plug-in equipment, from office computers to coffee machines, extension cords, and drills. Above a certain quantity, the price per device drops significantly.
- Accessibility. Distribution boards behind furniture, locked technical rooms, or devices that first need to be located take extra time. Preparing in advance saves the most here.
- Age and condition of the installation. Old fabric-insulated cables, missing protective conductors, or undocumented modifications require additional terminal point checks.
- Level of documentation. A standard report is included. Device lists by location, evaluations across multiple properties, or documents for insurers are prepared separately upon request.
- Travel and appointment scheduling. Within Rendsburg and the surrounding area, this barely factors in. For property managers, we combine multiple properties into a single tour.
