Process

How your project proceeds with us

From the first phone call to the handover of documents, you always know who will be at your property and when, and what the next step will cost. These five steps apply equally to new installations and to refurbishments in occupied buildings.

You describe your requirements to us by phone or via the contact form. What matters is the building's year of construction, the type of rooms and whether it's an existing building or a new build. For smaller jobs, we can give you a rough estimate during the call; for larger projects, we arrange a site visit.

Pricing

What determines the cost

Electrical work rarely comes with a flat price, because cable routes, wall construction and the condition of the existing system make every job different. The following guide prices give you an idea of the typical scale of common jobs – we provide the binding price in the quote after the site visit.

Guide Prices for Common Jobs

All prices include VAT, excluding travel costs and special components.

Prüfungen

  • Electrical safety check for flats up to 4 rooms from €190

Visual inspection, measurement of all circuits, functional test of residual current devices, test report and inspection sticker.

More rooms or additional circuits increase the time required.

  • Testing of portable appliances (DGUV V3) from €6 per device

Repeat testing of office and workshop equipment in commercial settings, including equipment list and test report.

Lower unit price from 30 devices upward.

Installation

  • Adding an extra socket or switch from €95

Chase out the recess, run cable from the nearest distribution point, connect and test. Plastering of the chases on request.

Surface-mounted is significantly cheaper than flush-mounted in existing buildings.

  • Replacing a meter cabinet from €1,800

New cabinet to current standards, split across multiple circuits, residual current device, surge protection, registration with the grid operator.

Depends on the number of meters, available space, and condition of the main supply line.

Service

  • Fault repair service, first hour from €110

Fault diagnosis for short circuits, tripping breakers, or partial power loss, including measuring equipment.

Surcharge applies outside business hours and on Sundays and public holidays.

Service Area

Our service area around Rendsburg

We deliberately work locally: short distances mean short waiting times and that we can come back a second time in case of a fault, without the travel dominating the job.

Where we regularly work

We're happy to consider locations outside this area on a case-by-case basis – especially for larger renovations or recurring inspections for property management companies.

From the Workshop

Common cases from practice

Three situations come up especially often in Rendsburg residential buildings. They show how to recognise an ageing installation – and how the solution can usually be handled without a full renovation.

Three typical tasks

Older building, built 1958
Starting point
The breaker tripped whenever the washing machine and kettle ran at the same time. All sockets were connected to a single circuit.
Measure
New distribution board with four separate circuits, dedicated supply line for the kitchen, and residual current device. Most of the existing cabling could remain in place.
Result
No more tripping in everyday use, a clearly labelled distribution board, and an installation that matches today's appliance load. Two working days, with power off for half a day.
Multi-family building, property management
Starting point
Before a tenant change, it was unclear whether the electrical installation in the flats was still safe. Documentation for the duty of care was missing.
Measure
Electrical safety check per unit with test report, plus a list of defects sorted by urgency: immediate, medium-term, cosmetic.
Result
The management now has documentation for all units and can budget the repairs over two years instead of commissioning everything at once.
Trade business, workshop
Starting point
After a thunderstorm, several machines failed and part of the lighting stayed dark. Operations came to a standstill.
Measure
Fault diagnosis with insulation testing, faulty cable in the floor duct located and replaced, followed by retrofitting surge protection in the main distribution board.
Result
Back in production the same day. The retrofitted protection significantly limits damage from future power surges.

Anonymised examples from completed jobs. The effort and outcome always depend on the specific installation.

This helps us during the appointment

Please keep access to the meter cabinet clear, move furniture away from affected wall areas, and have any existing documents ready – old test reports, floor plans, or invoices from previous electrical work. If devices such as servers, aquariums, or refrigeration units must not lose power, let us know in advance so we can plan the shutdown accordingly.

Service packages compared

The three ways in which we look after an installation differ in scope – not in care. Which one fits your building is something we clarify at the first appointment on site.
